Our Guest, Dr. Alan Brown, Past lead Engineer for the Skunkworks kept the room transfixed as he tried to explain the design challenges of the  experimental F-117 Fighter known as " Stealth". He explained the tribulations of working daily with the Air Force  Creme Test Pilots and top administrators from the Super Secret '"Skunkworks" from Lockheed Aircrafts Research( Burbank) and Design Division. Rules for building Stealth.. Borrow everything possible, No risky Epoxy transmutation.. Make the impossible work. Build a Mach .08 Fighter bomber with the Radar Cross section of an Eagles Eyeball,( Really) Make a totally unstable diamond shaped anorchaic structure fly without any Standard Flight characteristics, add computers that react so fast that humans cannot possibly keep up then give the otherwise useless Test Pilot all of 1.2 Seconds to eject and Voila! The most secret stealthy fighter Bomber ever designed. Need less to say This Rotary club was weak kneed at the conclusion that came way.. too... fast.
