SCWD Desalinazation

 Melanie Schumacher and Bill Kocher from Soquel Creek and Santa Cruz Water came out to give us a presentation on Water conservation and the Planned Desal Plant in Santa Cruz. Scheduled to be constructed in 2013 the Plant using Reverse Osmosis, would supplement the water available during years of Drought. It is clear the conservation of resources will never match the need and expected demand in this drought prone area. This is a Preliminary plan which anticipates a cost measure that will not affect the average user by more than 3% per year. We will see.
