No Speaker showed up on Thursday. No call, no e-mail no nothing... So Keith jumped in with an interview with our esteemed 30 year Rotary member Doug Nakashima. Doug told the story as a POW Japanese American child he was interned during WW2 in Colorado, came home, after losing everything his family owned in the east bay, and went to Berkley during the Early sixties, worked with his father to sustain a very sucessful family cut flower business in Watsonville, underwent a personnal tragedy equal to the greatest Greek play and became increasingly involved with the Budhest Church. Now retired he provided mental counseling services for the prisoners in State prison. Now remarried he is seeking solstice through writing and meditation, public service with Rotary and CASA and continued explorations of world sites with his beautiful wife of ten years Sharon.
