About Our Club

Capitola-Aptos Rotary Club has served  Santa Cruz Co. since 1965.  We foster connections, service & leadership.  Rotary Int’l is a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends & problem solvers where people unite & take action.

Our History:

The Rotary Club of Capitola-Aptos was chartered on April 28, 1965 by extending and relinquishing parts of the territories of the Rotary Clubs of Santa Cruz and Watsonville.  The club was chartered as the Rotary Club of Soquel, with 27 members, and the name has been changed twice to better represent the geographical location of the club and its membership.  In the 1970s the name was changed to Rotary Club of Mid-County Santa Cruz and in 1988 to Rotary Club of Capitola-Aptos.

Our Club averages about 40-50 members who are committed to having fun while we make a difference in our community and internationally.

We welcome visitors and prospective members.  Come join us!

When and Where Details:

We meet every Thursday, either for lunch or dinner---depending on the week.

As of March 2023, we are starting a schedule where the 1st and 3rd Thursday's are a Lunch meeting (12 noon - 1:30pm) held at Seascape Golf Course (610 Clubhouse Drive, Aptos, CA 95003). The 2nd and 4th Thursday's are either a lunch or dinner meeting at an alternate location. (We are surveying and will base our finalized schedule on attendance.) See the Calendar for each meeting's details; time, location, speaker, etc.!

Since the Covid-19 Pandemic, we also have Hybrid meetings for all our weekly meetings except Field Trips! (As those are usually too hard to broadcast!)
